Basilica
The photography series and film Basilica (1997), shot in St George’s Basilica at Prague Castle during the 1996 summer solstice, marked the start of Jan Jedlička’s return to his birthplace. Here he attempted through film an archaeology of the site and its atmosphere, partly by observing the natural light and the sounds of this medieval church.
